Prechodová vložka môže byť zabudovaná do nástroja alebo na vonkajšiu stranu nástroja. Tesnosť zabezpečuje vnútorny diel z vitonu a zároveň garantuje tesnosť pri premostení viacerých na seba nadväzujúcich platní.

Svojou priamočiarou konštrukciou prietokového kanálu umožňuje táto prechodová vložka maximálny možný prietok a tým veľmi dobré chladenie nástroja. Svojou konštrukciou ako prietokový kanál, može byť optimálne zabudovaná do chladiaceho okruhu. Životnosť tesniaceho komponentu z vitonu zaručuje vonkajšie puzdro z mosadze.
