During the discussions, a number of key projects that the town is preparing were discussed. These include the construction of a new wing for the care home for older people, the renovation of the building that will house the future municipal library, and other important infrastructure projects such as the reconstruction of the railway junction, the construction of a roundabout and repairs to road I/14.

Mayor Řehák also familiarised company representatives with his vision for tackling the exodus of young people from the region. In cooperation with local businesses, the town plans to create incentives that would help retain young talent in the region. These involve support in the form of grants during their studies and job offers after they complete their education.

“The visits gave me valuable insights into how local companies operate and how they tackle challenges such as energy savings and increasing self-sufficiency. These meetings are important for us so that together we can better plan and implement projects that will benefit the whole community,” said Mayor Zdeněk Řehák.
