• PMMA – Polymetylmetakrylát (plexisklo, akrylát)

A transparent plastic with excellent optical clarity, UV resistance, and dimensional stability. It is lighter than glass and suitable for various machining processes.

• PC – Polykarbonát

A very strong, impact-resistant plastic. It is significantly more impact-resistant than glass or acrylic. It is manufactured as either solid or multi-wall (hollow) sheets.

• PVC – Polyvinylchlorid

A versatile plastic with good chemical and moisture resistance. It is easy to process and is used primarily in advertising, industry, and construction.

• PP – Polypropylén

A lightweight plastic with excellent chemical resistance and good mechanical properties. It is easily welded and shaped, making it particularly suitable for the chemical industry.

• PE – Polyetylén

A lightweight plastic with high chemical and impact resistance and low water absorption. It has good sliding properties but lower temperature resistance. Common types include PE-HD, PE-300, PE-500, and PE-1000.

• PETG – Polyetyléntereftalát glykól

A transparent, flexible, and impact-resistant plastic. It is less brittle than PMMA and is easy to cut, mill, bend, bond, or laser-process. It is also suitable for food contact.

• POM – Polyoxymetylén (polyacetal)

A strong, hard, and dimensionally stable engineering plastic with low friction and high wear resistance. Used for precision mechanical components.

• PA – Polyamid (Silon, Nylon)

A strong, flexible, and durable plastic with good sliding properties and high wear resistance. Its disadvantage is moisture absorption.

• PTFE – Polytetrafluóretylén (Teflón)

A plastic with excellent chemical and thermal resistance and very low friction. It is non-stick and is used primarily in technical and chemical applications.

• ABS – Akrylonitril-butadién-styrén

A tough, impact-resistant plastic with good dimensional stability. It is easy to process and is used, for example, in injection molding, vacuum forming, and 3D printing.
