KREAROB – robotic system by CMS S.p.A. for large-format 3D printing

CMS Advanced Materials Technology is expanding its range of additive manufacturing technologies with KREAROB, a robotic system for large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) and 3D printing with thermoplastic polymers.

The platform integrates an extruder, software and a proprietary HMI for full control over programming, simulation and printing. Multi-axis robotic technology ensures maximum geometric flexibility in the production of complex components while maintaining the quality standards that CMS has developed over years of experience in manufacturing with advanced polymers.

Thanks to its ability to machine in 3 and 5 axes, krearob can create complex geometries and large components with complete design freedom.
Comau kinematics and Sinumerik ONE numerical control ensure reliability, precision and high performance.

The technical solutions used are combined with selected components to ensure top-quality printing with controlled and consistent deposition. The extruder was developed in accordance with the high quality standards that CMS achieves in advanced polymer manufacturing to ensure process continuity and high-quality finished parts.

KREAROB is CMS's response to the needs of industrial production of thermoplastic polymer components. It combines flexibility, sustainability and complete process control, opening up new sectors and opportunities for LFAM applications.
