WITTMANN Group at Fakuma 2026: High performance with maximum cost efficiency
The WITTMANN Primus Product Range for Efficient and Reliable Production
Not every injection moulding challenge requires a customised solution with numerous optional features and special technologies. The key to high cost efficiency is precisely matching production equipment to specific requirements. As much as necessary, and as little extra as possible – this is precisely the principle the WITTMANN Group has set as its goal. Across the entire product portfolio, the ranges bearing the Primus designation stand for maximum cost efficiency and reliability in standard applications with clearly defined requirements for the production process. Other characteristic features of Primus products from WITTMANN are short delivery times, rapid commissioning and easy operation, because sufficient skilled personnel are by no means available on every shift today.
A separate display area at the WITTMANN stand is dedicated to Primus auxiliary equipment. It focuses on pellet handling through to inline recycling. This area is represented by Drymax primus pellet dryers, Tempro primus temperature control units and the S-Max primus toothed-roller granulator. The Card primus small-batch dryer, Feedmax primus material receiver for central systems, Primus robot and EcoPrimus all-electric injection moulding machine will also be on display live at the stand. Whether used independently or integrated with other Primus products into a production cell, Primus makes a significant contribution to highly economical and competitive injection moulding production in every case.
Premiere of the Tempro primus 90
The new Tempro primus 90 temperature control unit will celebrate its world premiere at Fakuma 2026. The seven-segment display has been replaced by a clear 3.5" colour TFT-LCD display. Tempro primus 90 thus sets new benchmarks for intuitive menu navigation.

Simplifies operation: the new Tempro primus 90 temperature control unit with a 3.5" colour TFT-LCD display. |
The temperature control unit from the Primus product range is the first choice for all applications that require precise temperature control but can do without additional functions. Set up, connect, done – that is the motto, because Tempro primus 90 starts working reliably immediately after installation. PT1000 temperature sensors ensure high control accuracy. Generously sized cooling coil pipe diameters increase cooling capacity.
Resource-Efficient Inline Recycling
The newer Primus products also include the S-Max primus toothed-roller granulator, designed for use directly beside the injection moulding machine. Thanks to its low speed of 27 rpm at 50 Hz, this unit processes all engineering plastics, including styrenic and acrylic plastics and glass-fibre-reinforced materials. The low speed also reduces noise, energy consumption and dust generation. The result is a highly uniform particle size, which ensures high part quality when processing regrind.

During product development, particular attention was also paid to the long service life of the granulating tools. Overall, S-Max primus is characterised by low maintenance requirements and easy cleaning for quick material changes. It thus supports resource-efficient inline recycling.
Primus Robot with a Payload of up to 8 kg
Primus linear robots provide a cost-effective solution for Pick & Place applications and simple automation tasks. The latest model, Primus 118, expands the application scope of Primus robots. It is designed for a payload of up to 8 kg. The increased performance of the Primus robot is made possible by a new design with reinforced demoulding and vertical axes, as well as reinforced drives.
The robot offers up to ten valve positions, enabling various combinations of gripper and vacuum circuits. Up to eight vacuum circuits are possible. The robot is equipped as standard with the SmartRemoval function, which reduces removal time and thus the overall cycle time.

Primus 118 from WITTMANN expands the application scope of the Primus robot range to applications with a payload of up to 8 kg. |
The new Primus 118 can be installed with exceptional flexibility on injection moulding machines of various models and sizes up to a clamping force of 250 tonnes. Since the hole spacing in the main beam has not changed compared with previous series, the new Primus 118 can be integrated into existing equipment very easily. With the full-featured R9 control system and R9 Teachbox control pendant, it offers full flexibility for expanding the application. Additional rotary and swivel axes are available to cover a wide range of applications. The B servo axis can, for example, be used to implement various placing programmes. The A+C servo axis is used when swivel movements are required in addition to rotation, allowing parts with complex geometries to be correctly oriented and positioned.
All-Electric Precision for High Production Volumes
EcoPrimus is an all-electric injection moulding machine from WITTMANN that combines performance, precision and reliability with cost efficiency in standard applications. During Fakuma, it will produce protective caps for insulin pens in an eight-cavity mould at the WITTMANN stand in Hall B1. For this purpose, it will be equipped with a Primus robot.
The machine, with a clamping force of 1000 kN, was specifically developed for high-volume single-component solid injection moulding. It achieves an injection speed of 200 mm/s and operates with WITTMANN's current-generation B8X control system for full Industry 4.0 compatibility. Direct servo drives and the use of braking energy reduce energy consumption to a minimum.
