Expansion of Manufacturing Capabilities at the ENGEL Kaplice Plant
The ENGEL plant in Kaplice has expanded its manufacturing capabilities to include final assembly of machines. This step marks an important milestone in the development of the global production network and increases flexibility in responding to market demands.

ENGEL Successfully Expands Its Manufacturing Operations at the Kaplice Plant

Since the beginning of the year, all-electric injection moulding machines with clamping forces of up to 180 tonnes have been assembled at ENGEL strojírenská. This means that, for the first time, the Kaplice production plant is also responsible for the final assembly of machines.

The expansion into new manufacturing activities represents another highly significant step in the continuous development of ENGEL’s global network. "Integrating machine assembly at the Kaplice plant is a logical development of our manufacturing structure. This increases our production flexibility and enables us to respond even more efficiently to changing market requirements," says Stefan Engleder, CEO of the ENGEL Group.

Over the past 25 years, the Kaplice plant has expanded the scope of its activities from its original role as a plant producing steel components, complete electrical control cabinets, safety guarding and belt conveyors to taking over the production of mechatronic assemblies. Now, for the first time in its history, the plant is also responsible for the final assembly of complete all-electric machines in the e-mac series – naturally in accordance with uniform ENGEL standards.
