Did you know? Marlex® HDPE and MDPE are now supplied by Resinex
Why Choose Marlex® HDPE and MDPE?
Marlex is a highly regarded polyethylene brand manufactured by Chevron Phillips Chemical with extensive know-how and technical support.
These materials stand out for several key properties:
- High resistance to cracking and stress – selected Marlex HDPE and MDPE grades offer high ESCR
- Toughness, strength and resistance at low temperatures – enables the production of thinner films or lightweight containers with good impact resistance.
- Safety for food contact – comply with EU regulations (e.g. (EU) No 10/2011) and FDA standards for use in food packaging.
Most Popular Marlex HDPE and MDPE Grades:
- Marlex® HXM 50100 – EHMW for medium-sized to large blow-moulded or thermoformed parts, with very high environmental stress cracking resistance (ESCR).
- Marlex® HHM TR-131 – Medium-density PE (MDPE) for film production, offering high impact and tear resistance. It is also excellent for the production of cosmetic tubes thanks to its stiffness, excellent weldability and high-quality surface finish. It offers excellent aesthetic properties.
- Marlex® TRB-115 – Bimodal HDPE for blown films, with excellent processability, high impact resistance and toughness.
- Marlex® TRB-533 – A blow-moulding grade with exceptional environmental stress cracking resistance (ESCR) and a long service life.
- Marlex® HHM 5502BN – A blow-moulding grade designed for the production of small to medium-sized containers for food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical packaging. Meets USP and Eu.Ph. requirements.
- Marlex® HHM TR-144 – High-molecular-weight HDPE for blown films, suitable, for example, for T-shirt packaging, multilayer films and refuse sacks. It can also be used for the production of corrugated pipes.
