Genesis Polymers Europe and Velogy bring European PP and PE production closer to customers at Fakuma 2026
Polyolefin Suppliers at Fakuma
Genesis Polymers Europe and Velogy will exhibit together for the first time at Fakuma this October (Hall B2, Stand 2310). At a single stand, they will connect European polyolefin production with local distribution and customer support across Europe.
Both companies share a clear goal: to offer European plastics processors reliable access to high-quality polypropylenes and polyethylenes, backed by local service and a supply chain based on European production.
Velogy was established in May 2026 following the acquisition of four former LyondellBasell production plants by the investment group AEQUITA. These are the plants in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Tarragona (Spain) and Carrington (United Kingdom). Today, Velogy operates all four production centres with approximately 1 700 employees and supplies more than 150 products to customers in more than 60 countries worldwide.
Genesis Polymers Europe, part of the Ravago group, provides the distribution platform for Velogy products in most European markets. It combines a strong focus on polypropylenes and polyethylenes with the Ravago group's logistics infrastructure and extensive polymer expertise.
European Polyolefin Production Matters
For both Genesis and Velogy, European production is not merely a matter of geography.
Recent years have shown how global logistics challenges, geopolitical uncertainty or changes in international trade can affect raw material availability. For European processors, a strong production base close to their operations means greater supply chain resilience, better visibility and more predictable deliveries.
Velogy's four production plants are located close to major European industrial centres, while Genesis provides commercial and technical support directly in local markets.
The offering is simple:
European production. Proven quality. Reliable supply. Local expertise.
Genesis believes that customers should be able to plan their raw material supplies with confidence and rely on a producer that invests in European production, rather than depend on materials imported according to prevailing global market conditions.
This approach reflects Velogy's broader ambition to become the preferred European partner for high-performance polymer materials and its belief that a strong European industrial base is essential for the long-term competitiveness and resilience of European industry.
A New Portfolio of PP and PE Materials Ready for the Future
At Fakuma, Genesis and Velogy will present the new structure of Velogy's product portfolio, based on three product ranges:
KeyForm
Reliable PP and PE solutions focused on consistent quality, stable availability and high operational reliability.
AdvyForm
Higher-performance materials designed to deliver improved properties, greater production efficiency and enhanced functionality in finished products.
CertyForm
Products intended for applications where consistency, process transparency, controlled production and reliable regulatory assurance are essential.
Together, these platforms cover a wide range of applications in packaging, consumer goods, mobility, construction, infrastructure, industrial applications and healthcare.
The portfolio also continues to expand. Velogy is gradually introducing new PP and PE materials to the market, enabling Genesis to offer European processors an increasingly broad product range. The portfolio currently includes more than 150 material grades intended for 11 industry sectors.
A Strong Focus on Polymers for Healthcare
Healthcare will be one of the main themes at Fakuma.
For medical, diagnostic and pharmaceutical applications, material properties alone are no longer sufficient. Customers also require consistent quality, controlled production, traceability, regulatory reliability and high-quality documentation support.
The polypropylenes and polyethylenes in the CertyForm range were developed specifically for these applications. Genesis complements Velogy's production and product know-how by working closely with customers at a local level. It helps them understand material qualification requirements and provides commercial, technical and regulatory support throughout the process.
Velogy also continues to develop its healthcare portfolio, creating further opportunities for customers seeking reliable material solutions produced in Europe.
A Single Connection from Producer to Customer
The joint Genesis and Velogy stand at Fakuma is intended to demonstrate the close cooperation between the two companies.
Visitors will be able to discuss their requirements with both the producer and its specialist distribution partner in one place. From material selection and technical questions through logistics and availability to commercial terms.
The aim is to make the entire process as simple as possible for customers: Velogy brings European production and product expertise, while Genesis provides local representation, logistics and day-to-day customer support.
One strong partnership connecting European production with European processors.
And This Is Just the Beginning
The European production base behind the Velogy brand is set to grow further in the future.
In August 2026, SABIC announced an agreement to sell its European petrochemicals business to AEQUITA. The transaction includes major European operations producing PP, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE and other petrochemical products at sites in Geleen (the Netherlands), Gelsenkirchen (Germany), Genk (Belgium) and Teesside (United Kingdom).
Completion of the transaction is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, following receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals.
This acquisition is expected to significantly expand Velogy's European production base, technological capabilities and product portfolio and create further opportunities for Genesis customers from 2027.
For Genesis Polymers Europe, the direction is clear: to continue building a specialist European distribution company focused on polypropylenes and polyethylenes, based on strong customer relationships and an increasingly broad European production base.
