Optimization of injection moulds using 3D measurement at 3DTEC s.r.o.

3D measurement and scanning significantly improve the efficiency of injection mould design and optimisation in the plastics industry. They enable the precise reconstruction of geometrically complex parts, comparison of moulded parts with CAD models, inspection of dimensional deviations and modification of moulds before they are manufactured. They are also used to check machining allowances, perform final geometry verification and subsequently calibrate the mould. The digital model of the mould is used for archiving and predictive maintenance, reducing scrap rates, shortening downtime and increasing production stability.
