The SOLIDWORKS 3D Modeling Competition Has Its Winners

On 7 May 2025, Schier Technik Slovakia, in cooperation with the Secondary Technical School in Trnava, organised a 3D modelling competition for secondary school students.

22 schools from across Slovakia took part in the competition, with a total of 65 participants, including 43 students and 22 teachers. The event provided an opportunity not only to test students' technical skills, but also for teachers to exchange professional experience.

During the day, teachers attended a series of expert lectures focusing primarily on SOLIDWORKS and SolidCAM solutions, certifications for these systems, the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, as well as topics relating to innovation, modern technologies and STEAM education.

Students competed in modelling a 3D part based on an assignment using a technical drawing.

The programme also included presentations of successful student projects created in SOLIDWORKS, which achieved excellent rankings in various technical competitions.

Competition results:
1st place: Timotej Nosáľ – Private Secondary Technical Vocational School, Žiar nad Hronom
2nd place: Patrik Boháč – Private Secondary Technical Vocational School, Žiar nad Hronom
3rd place: Matúš Harmúše – Secondary School of Electrical Engineering, Bratislava

The successful delivery of the event was also made possible by the support of partners who contributed valuable prizes. 3Dconnexion provided the main prize – a professional SpaceMouse Wireless 3D mouse. MIVASOFT spol. s r. o. provided the prizes for second and third place. Partners Dassault Systèmes and SolidCAM donated additional prizes for all three award-winning students.
