IAC starts third operation site in Czech town of Prestice

Automotive supplier International Automotive Components (IAC) has opened its production site for premium door panels in Prestice, Czech Republic, the company announced 7 March.

The Luxembourg-based supplier said it had invested over $40m (€32m) in the new facility, which will be its third operation in Prestice.

The site covers an area of more than 32,500 square metres and will employ 800 at full capacity.

The greenfield site is the final phase of IAC’s Prestice 2 location and will enable the company to continue supporting its customers from a Central-eastern European location.

Prestice 2 will produce 600,000 units per year of door panels.

Prestice 1 site accommodates the company’s European centre of excellence for headliners.

“Our new Prestice operation reflects our ongoing commitment to support our global customers with premium interior products wherever they are in the world,” said IAC president and CEO Robert Miller.
