Fatra, a.s. – voluntary sustainability goals
Sustainability as part of responsible business
The team focuses on proposals for improvement and the development of ideas that come both from employees and from our own initiatives. Last November, a regular meeting with selected employees took place, with sustainability as its main topic.
One of the main points of the agenda was the evaluation of the fulfilment of the voluntary sustainability goals that we set for the 2020–2025 period. At this meeting, we also introduced new goals heading towards 2030.
Now that we have closed the 2025 period, I would like to share with you the positive results actually achieved and at the same time introduce new voluntary goals for the next period.
2020 / 2025 EVALUATION
1. Saving of drinking water by 50 % – achieved value 58 %.
• Cancellation of tower cooling for B310 and B26 technology – Chropyně.
• Replacement of drinking water with well water for toilets in buildings B13 and B24 – Napajedla.
• Removal and prevention of leaks on connections – Napajedla.
• Termination of PPF production – Napajedla.
2. Reduction of CO2 emissions by 30 % – achieved value 34 %.

4. Eco-packaging of flooring in tiles – achieved by transitioning to an ecological variant of cardboard boxes for packing LVT tiles.
Based on the data provided, we can state that we have met all goals and achieved a significant improvement in the area of environmental protection.
2025 / 2030 – NEW GOALS
1. We will increase the amount of circular materials used from 35 % to 40 %.
2. We will reduce CO2 emissions by 10 kilotons.
• By purchasing emission-free energy (in the volume of 50 %), we will reduce our carbon footprint and thus prevent the creation of CO2 emissions.
3. We will reduce the consumption of subsurface water by 28 %.
• Thanks to the construction of a retention tank, we will be able to use 20,000 m3 of rainwater and thus reduce the extraction of subsurface water.
By setting voluntary sustainability goals, we confirm the importance of this topic in the future direction of our company.
We clearly show that we take environmental protection and the principles of sustainable business seriously. At the same time, we confirm one of our key values – We care about the world around us.
