AMPER will showcase major brands and an even richer accompanying programme
The international trade fair for electrical engineering, electronics, and energy returns to the Brno Exhibition Centre after a year, now organized by Veletrhy Brno. It will take place from March 17 to 19, 2026, and promises presentations by major names from the fields of electrical engineering and energy, along with new programme formats. A total of 468 companies from 32 countries will take part, with more than 40% of them coming from abroad.

Big Names Are Back – After Years Away

One of the most visible signs of change is the return of major brands that have been absent from the trade fair in recent years. ABB is returning to AMPER, where it will showcase innovations focused on cybersecurity, energy savings and the reliability of electrical grids. In its domestic premiere, it will introduce an air circuit breaker that meets the most stringent cybersecurity requirements. Visitors can try it out in practice directly at the stand thanks to virtual reality.

The electrical installation sector will have an exceptionally strong presence at this year's trade fair. With the aim of showing how a connected ecosystem of software, data and automation can genuinely increase the efficiency of industrial processes, Rittal and Eplan are also returning to AMPER, having last exhibited in 2022. The brand Schneider Electric has had an equally long break, while Hager is returning to the trade fair after twelve years.

After a one-year break, Balluff, Turck and Murrelektronik will also be exhibiting, significantly strengthening the industrial automation sector.

“We are pleased to have succeeded in bringing back big names that had been absent from the trade fair for some time. The return of these companies also represents a major commitment for us going forward. It shows that AMPER is regaining the trust of major market players,” said Lukáš Helan, Sales Director of Veletrhy Brno.

Alongside the return of established brands, the trade fair will also be enriched by significant first-time participation. One of the key new exhibitors is Innomotics, which will focus on modern electric drives and their contribution to efficient and sustainable industry. The strong representation of the energy sector will be further reinforced by Hitachi Energy, Emaldo and Onergy Power.

Other big names from across the sectors will also be represented at this year's AMPER trade fair, including OBO Bettermann, Ray Service, Hennlich, MINYX servis, Trafo CZ, MP elektronik technologie, Ecoled by EXX, Megger CZ, KOČÍ VN, SVK Elektronik, Minalox, TEDOM, PBT Rožnov, Sensit, Labara, Silent Czech, Harting, Komax, GENTEC CHP and OHLA ŽS.

New Programme Features – Broader Scope, Greater Interaction

AMPER 2026 also aims to fulfil its ambition to strengthen its professional importance and commercial relevance by substantially expanding its accompanying programme. The programme now has a broader thematic scope and places greater emphasis on interactive formats – discussions, workshops and networking among practising professionals. The accompanying programme thus complements the exhibition section of the trade fair with a content framework that responds to current challenges in industry, energy and construction.

“We see AMPER as a natural extension of our portfolio of industrial and technology trade fairs. Electrical engineering, electronics and energy are now closely interconnected with industry, automation and digitalisation. Our ambition is to systematically develop the trade fair, engage the target group with decision-making authority even more strongly and steer it towards greater commercial relevance,” stated Jan Kubata, CEO of Veletrhy Brno.

AMPER STAGE – Three Days of Key Topics

At the centre of the new programme features is AMPER STAGE in Hall P, which will offer a thematically structured programme over three days. The partner for the thematic sessions is the Electrical and Electronic Association of the Czech Republic, and the university partner is Brno University of Technology.

“Electrical engineering for the coming decade – this is the central theme of the three-day programme at AMPER STAGE. Its aim is not only to discuss the current issues facing these sectors with experts specialising in electronics, electrical engineering and energy. The application sphere is also very important to us, as it will implement our products and advanced technical solutions in other industrial sectors or services over the coming years. The programme has been prepared for these visitors as well,” announced Jiří Holoubek, President of the Electrical and Electronic Association of the Czech Republic.

The first day is dedicated to cybersecurity. Discussions will address threats associated with digitalisation, infrastructure security and supply chain protection. Real-life examples will be used to demonstrate, for instance, a cyberattack, including authentic communication with the extortionists.

The second day will focus on energy and industrial efficiency – from decentralised energy generation and battery storage to power quality and the question of energy self-sufficiency for companies.

The third day will address the digital transformation of Czech industry, including the realistic use of artificial intelligence and the development of AI skills within companies.

Alongside these strategic sessions, AMPER STAGE will also offer other topics. The programme will include, for example, a workshop entitled “A Smart Home for Everyone” with Pepa Libický, focusing on affordable solutions for modern electrical installations. An expert debate on modular and prefabricated construction with integrated smart installations will also be of interest, reflecting the pressure for speed and efficiency and the shortage of skilled workers in construction.

Smart Industry Is a New Addition

The SMART INDUSTRY – AMPER EDITION manufacturing conference will take place on the very first day of the trade fair. It will explore, for example, the economic potential of individual industrial segments and the principle of “dual use” technologies – the question of whether new technologies can prove their worth not only in narrowly defined segments, but also in broader industrial applications. In addition to senior executives from technology companies, the conference's keynote speakers will include, for example, respected economist Lukáš Kovanda and Michal Nevěřil from PwC ČR. The event is organised by Trade Media International, Pocket Virtuality and CSG.

Beyond the conference itself, Smart Industry will also offer an exhibition in Hall P, which will be accessible throughout the trade fair. Across an area of 180 square metres, visitors will find specific solutions in maintenance digitalisation, data handling, advanced visualisation, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. They will also be able to try an unconventional form of technology presentation – a table football match against automation technology from B&R.

“The Smart Industry project was established as a long-term initiative focused on educating the market and supporting the modernisation of industrial companies. The aim is to address digitalisation, automation and data handling in industry not only from a technological perspective, but above all from a management and strategic perspective. We therefore see the project's inclusion at the AMPER trade fair as a logical connection and also as a special stop for the project within this year's programme,” said Lukáš Smelík from Trade Media International on behalf of the project organisers.

DronyX – a New Topic with Practical Demonstrations

Another new addition is the DronyX conference, which is appearing at the AMPER trade fair for the very first time and reflects the growing role of unmanned technologies in inspections, monitoring, industrial logistics and security. The conference takes place on Wednesday, 18 March and will offer both a strategic overview of trends in drone solutions and specific examples of their practical use. The DronyX project will also include a drone exhibition directly in Hall P.

Organised Networking and Industrial Design

The expanded AMPER trade fair programme is complemented by a new addition in targeted business connections. The Kontakt-Kontrakt project brings structured networking, enabling pre-arranged B2B meetings between manufacturers, suppliers, integrators and investors. Kontakt-Kontrakt uses managed matchmaking and moves the trade fair towards becoming a platform for efficient, targeted business meetings.

Another new feature of the 2026 edition is the Industrial Design Award, which aims to highlight high-quality technical solutions not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of structural design, ergonomics and user experience. The inclusion of this award underlines the trade fair's ambition to place the discussion of the quality of technical solutions in a broader context – towards responsible development and higher added value. Industrial design and its role in today's electrical engineering industry will also be addressed in a panel discussion organised by Design Centrum CzechTrade, which will take place on Wednesday on AMPER STAGE.

On the first day of the trade fair, awards will also be presented to the best trade fair exhibits in the Zlatý AMPER competition, which also includes a special student section.

AMPER E-MOBILITY Will Offer New Developments and Test Drives

The AMPER E-MOBILITY section is also a significant part of the trade fair. Electromobility is presented here as part of a broader energy transformation – from charging infrastructure and energy consumption management to the integration of electromobility into corporate fleets and urban mobility.

The exhibition area will showcase the latest electric vehicles from brands such as AUDI, BMW, CHERY, FARIZON, FIAT, IVECO, KIA, MERCEDES-BENZ, RIVIAN, SUZUKI, ŠKODA, TESLA, WULING, XPENG. The Škoda Elroq, winner of the prestigious Car of the Year 2026 award in the Czech Republic, will also be on display.

The section will include test drives with a booking system and an advisory centre focused on electromobility. New this year is E-STAGE with lectures and discussions. It will focus, for example, on post-warranty servicing of electric vehicles, the development of technician training and the experience of the Tábor Municipal Police, which was the first in the country to start using Tesla Y vehicles. On Thursday, Michal Žďárský from the Janík Motorsport team, winner of the Czech Republic ecoRally championship, will also take to the stage, as will Marek Tomšík, who drove an electric vehicle beyond the Arctic Circle and back.

Space for the Future of the Sector

Alongside established brands and new technology topics, the trade fair will also make room for research and education. In the area called Innovation Hub, a total of seven Czech and Slovak universities will present their applied research and specific projects linked to industrial practice. The solutions presented focus, for example, on the space technology sector and the use of digital twins.

Open 5G Hub Brno

The AMPER trade fair will host the first presentation of the Open 5G Hub Brno project, which connects research, industry and practical applications in the field of private 5G networks and advanced communications technologies. The presentation will also introduce a new private 5G network at the Brno Exhibition Centre, built by T-Mobile. The introduction of 5G connectivity directly at the exhibition centre also underlines the ambition of industrial trade fairs to become not only venues for presenting technologies, but also live platforms for their practical validation and deployment.
