Ampacet Showcases ELTech™ Masterbatch Solutions for Power, Telecommunication Cables and Optical Fiber Tubing at Wire 2026
Colored and flame-retardant masterbatches for power, telecommunications and optical cables
At the exhibition, Ampacet will showcase its polyethylene (PE) and ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) color masterbatch portfolio, developed for coloring low and medium voltage Copper or Aluminum power cable jackets as well as copper data cable sheaths. In addition, Ampacet will present its PBT-based color masterbatch solutions specifically engineered for optical fiber tubing applications.
Ampacet’s ELTech™ Color Solutions deliver vibrant, durable coloration aligned with the RAL color chart and are formulated to meet the demanding performance requirements of cable manufacturing. The PBT-based ELTech™ masterbatches provide excellent opacity while maintaining signal transmission performance, even at low wall thicknesses, making them ideal for high-performance optical fiber cables.
Engineered using high-quality pigments free from heavy metals and diarylides, ELTech™ Color Solutions offer exceptional heat resistance and outstanding light fastness, ensuring long-term color stability and reliable performance throughout the product lifecycle.
Cable protection thanks to HALOLITE and HALOFREE masterbatches
Beyond color solutions, Ampacet will also highlight its HALOLITE (low-halogen) and HALOFREE (zero-halogen) flame-retardant masterbatches, designed for ducts and cable management systems. These solutions support compliance with increasingly stringent international standards, including EN 50642 and IEC 61249-2-21, which restrict halogen and antimony content. Ampacet’s flame-retardant formulations deliver enhanced fire safety while minimizing toxic emissions, achieving UL94 V-2 classification and demonstrating a high Glow Wire Flammability Index (GWFI), key performance attributes for building and construction applications.
Additionally, the ELTech™ portfolio includes masterbatch solutions that enable the use of recycled plastics in cable and pipe applications, supporting sustainability goals without compromising performance or safety.
