In a few days, 3800 employees of the last fourth Slovak car manufacturer Kia Motors will interrupt their work due to coronavirus.

Závod juhokórejskej Kie neďaleko Žiliny má prerušenie výroby naplánované na pondelok. Odstávka potrvá predbežne dva týždne.

Bratislavský Volkswagen prestal s výrobou už od utorka, trnavská Groupe PSA sa zastavila dnes a nitriansky Jaguar Land Rover zasa utíchne v piatok.

„Kia Motors Slovakia s plným vedomím a zodpovednosťou za zdravie zamestnancov a ich rodinných príslušníkov a za účelom zabránenia šírenia koronavírusu dočasne preruší výrobu od pondelka 23. marca. Toto opatrenie sa vzťahuje na všetkých zamestnancov okrem tých, ktorých prítomnosť je nevyhnutná,“ informuje automobilka.
