Webinar: Air humidification is not a luxury, but a necessity

The seminar Webinar: Air humidification is not a luxury, but a necessity took place 30.9.2026. Organiser: DREKOMA s.r.o..

Relative humidity is one of the parameters that is often overlooked in both building design and operation. Yet it can significantly affect human health as well as production quality. Controlled air humidification not only improves the quality of the indoor environment but can also reduce heating and cooling costs. How? Find out in a webinar with Vladimír Harazím, CSc., from Drekoma.

"Do you know the power of dry air? Dry air harms everyone, everywhere!
In the webinar, you will learn that air humidification is not a luxury, but a necessity!"

  • broadcast time: 9.00–9.30 on TZB-info's YouTube channel
  • date: 30 September 2026
  • speakers:
    Ing. Alžběta Svobodová, TZB-info
    Ing. Vladimír Harazím, CSc., DREKOMA
  • after the broadcast, registered participants will receive by email confirmation of continuing education points from TZB-info and a Certificate of Completion from DREKOMA

The webinar is included and credited in the Continuing Education Programme of ČKA (0.5 points), ČKAIT.

The webinar is free of charge, organised with technical support from DREKOMA.

Low relative humidity goes hand in hand with dust and the build-up of electrostatic charge. It can cause problems in various production processes, for example in printing or in the processing of paper, wood or textiles, thereby affecting the quality of the finished products. A dry environment also increases the risk of infection spreading between people. Particularly in winter, it is not uncommon for indoor relative humidity to fall well below the recommended levels after outdoor air has been heated.

The solution is to install a properly designed humidification system that enables a stable level of relative humidity to be maintained. In the webinar, you will learn why relative air humidity should be considered one of the key technological parameters of the indoor environment and production, what consequences arise from underestimating it, and what options modern high-pressure humidification systems offer today.

The topic of adiabatic cooling will also be covered, along with its potential to reduce energy consumption compared with conventional mechanical cooling systems.
