EREMA Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen Ges.m.b.H. has its headquarters in Ansfelden near Linz in Austria and specialises in the development and manufacturing of plastics recycling systems and components. Founded in 1983, the company is now the world market leader.
Some 8,000 EREMA recycling systems are now in use worldwide. With subsidiaries in the USA, China, Thailand, India and Africa, as well as around 50 representatives on all five continents, the company has a reliable network to implement customised plastics recycling solutions for customers around the world and promote a circular economy.
This is based on innovative recycling technologies for the processing of plastics in the form of inhouse waste, bottle-to-bottle, post consumer and fibres to produce recycled pellets that meet the highest quality specifications.

Post-Consumer Recycling + Internal and Industrial Recycling:
INTAREMA® is EREMA’s advanced recycling system for processing plastic waste into high-quality recyclate. Thanks to its patented Counter Current® technology, it delivers high throughput, a stable process, flexibility in processing different types of materials, and easy operation. The system is suitable for both industrial and post-consumer plastics recycling.
TwinPro – recycling system with an integrated twin-screw extruder for thermoplastics
Direct connection between the preconditioning unit and the twin-screw extruder: a flexible solution in terms of material bulk density. Highly efficient homogenisation.
COREMA® is an advanced system that combines recycling and compounding in a single process step. It enables plastic waste to be processed into high-quality compounded recyclate with properties tailored to a specific application. The system is suitable for various material types and supports efficient production with a strong focus on quality and the added value of the recyclate.
PET Recycling
VACUREMA® is a highly efficient recycling system designed primarily for PET bottle-to-bottle recycling. Thanks to its SafeFlake technology, it ensures vacuum decontamination of flakes, low energy consumption, a stable process, and the production of high-quality rPET pellets suitable even for food contact applications.
VACUNITE® is an advanced bottle-to-bottle system for producing food-grade rPET pellets. It combines the proven VACUREMA® decontamination technology with Polymetrix’s V-LeaN SSP technology, while all thermal process steps take place under vacuum and/or in a nitrogen atmosphere. The result is highly pure rPET, stable quality, excellent colour properties, and low energy consumption.
INTAREMA® FibrePro:IV is a specialised recycling system for PET fibre-to-fibre recycling. It is designed for processing PET fibres into 100% rPET pellets with high colour consistency and very good mechanical properties for the further production of fine recycled fibres.
Chemical Recycling
CHEMAREMA® is a solution for the efficient preparation of plastic waste for chemical recycling. It combines several process steps in a single unit and allows the system to be adapted to the specific type of input material.
AGGLOREMA® is system for producing high-quality agglomerates from heavily contaminated and heterogeneous post-consumer plastic waste. It is particularly suitable as an input material for chemical recycling and stands out thanks to its simple, robust, and energy-efficient process.
