ZÁLESÍ is investing 90 million CZK in expanding the production of tube packaging in Luhačovice

ZÁLESÍ a.s., a traditional Czech industrial company based in Luhačovice, is investing nearly 90 million CZK in a new high-speed automated production line for laminated tubes. This strategic investment addresses the full utilization of current production capacities and will create room for new projects and customers.

Modern Swiss technology SAESA 240, complemented by an automated packaging line, will increase the production capacity of the Obaly plant by 45 % while also significantly improving production efficiency and flexibility. Series production using the new technology is scheduled to begin in January 2026.

“Our laminated tube programme is strategically important to us. In recent years, we have been achieving our business objectives in this area, production is growing and has long-term potential. At the same time, it helps us diversify our business beyond the automotive sector, which faces a number of challenges in Europe,” said Ing. Josef Hampl, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of ZÁLESÍ a.s.

“The new technology represents a major step forward – compared with our existing equipment, it allows us to produce a substantially larger volume with the same staffing levels. In addition to higher productivity, we are also reducing downtime through faster format/diameter changeovers. The line is also more energy-efficient and can process innovative, environmentally friendly materials, which is important to us from a sustainability perspective as well,” Hampl added.
