Accompanying programme at MSV Brno - packaging line, digital stage and cybersecurity

The International Engineering Fair in Brno, which will take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 8 to 11 October 2024, will offer not only exhibitors' stands but also a rich supporting programme. Visitors can look forward to a series of expert conferences, seminars and panel discussions that will focus on current topics related to engineering, digitalization of industry or export promotion.

The accompanying programme traditionally brings together experts from various sectors, making it a unique opportunity to share experience, establish new contacts and expand professional knowledge. Participants will gain inspiration for the future development of their companies and the industry as a whole.

Kontakt-Kontrakt

The Kontakt-Kontrakt cooperation platform combines the benefits of trade fair participation and matchmaking. It enables visitors and exhibitors to better organise their time at the fair. It is a unique opportunity to plan their programme and arrange B2B meetings in advance with other exhibitors, visitors and experts.

Kaletech Packaging Live

This year, the packaging line in action will be presented with an updated configuration. Entirely new companies have joined the traditional partners, and brands that were part of the line several years ago will also appear on the stage in Hall A2. The packaging line will feature demonstrations of industrial packaging, marking, handling, robotisation, securing loads and other technological processes. The programme will run 4 times a day with expert commentary, and the popular competitions for visitors will also be included.

Digital Stage

Throughout the fair, visitors can also attend the programme in the Digital Factory. Those interested can look forward to a wide range of moderated discussions and explore specific case studies. The main topics will include, for example, effective data use, financing innovation, sustainability and energy management, 5G networks, cybersecurity, Industry 4.0, effective use of robots in practice, testbeds and support for start-ups.

RICAIP WorkshopSpace

In the National Centre for Industry 4.0 exhibition in the Digital Factory, an interactive training space will be created under the guidance of experts from RICAIP Testbed Praha, CIIRC ČVUT, FS ČVUT and Siemens. Those interested will be introduced to illustrative demonstrations of technologies, software and procedures in the specific subject area. The workshops are not intended for the general public, but for specialists with at least basic knowledge, who will be able to try out, directly at the stand, activities such as working with a manufacturing execution system, the industrial metaverse, communicating with an edge server or exploring the results of working with data in industrial operations.

Czech National Exhibition

An interesting programme will also take place at the Czech National Exhibition in Hall P. Those interested will learn more about future trends in business support, 5G networks in industry and smart cities, energy savings in businesses and hydrogen technologies. On Thursday, 10 October, Meeting Point CzechTrade will take place, offering individually scheduled business development consultations with the directors of CzechTrade's foreign offices.

Contact Ukraine

Each year, the Contact Ukraine platform helps connect Czech companies operating in transport infrastructure, energy, mechanical engineering and healthcare in Ukraine with representatives of Ukrainian regions, municipalities and state administration. Regional governments and regional chambers of commerce from the Ukrainian regions with the greatest industrial potential will present themselves in Hall A at the Brno Exhibition Centre. A programme has also been prepared that will cover, for example, assistance to Ukraine through international financial institutions, cooperation between the non-profit and private sectors in humanitarian aid, and the restoration of Ukraine's energy grid.

CyberSecurityHub Interactive Exhibition

CyberSecurityHub has prepared a unique interactive exhibition that those interested can visit at this year's MSV. In cooperation with the Brno Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry Cluster 4.0, demonstrations have been prepared to clearly illustrate the dangers of cyberattacks and the importance of securing modern technologies in industry and healthcare. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to become part of cyberattack simulations, experience real-life scenarios and understand the crucial role cybersecurity plays in protecting critical systems. The exhibition's main attractions will include a radiotherapy machine inspired by the real Therac-25 incident, a simulation of a cyberattack on industrial systems and a military-style reconnaissance robot.

Technology Exhibition

This year, MSV will feature the Technology Exhibition for the first time, with the aim of presenting, through case studies, the experience of Czech manufacturing companies in implementing new productivity-enhancing technologies. Those interested will find the exhibition in Hall P. It includes a lecture area with an auditorium, which will primarily serve to present partnerships, as well as lectures on trends in engineering technologies, round-table discussions on the position of Czech companies in the space industry, the role of interim management in managing innovation, and the topic of artificial intelligence and its impact on the education process. This discussion will take place on the final day of the fair, when the entire day's programme is devoted to vocational education.
