A key part of its portfolio is the Performance Materials division, focused on engineering and high-performance plastics as well as rubber materials for demanding industrial applications.
In the Czech Republic, Performance Materials supplies material solutions to large OEMs and smaller processors, with a strong emphasis on technical performance, long-term reliability, and sustainability.
Plastics and materials portfolio
BASF’s Performance Materials division in the Czech Republic offers a broad portfolio of plastics and elastomers, including:

Across Europe, and therefore linked to the Czech and Slovak markets, BASF:
- uses renewable electricity at Performance Materials production sites
- offers materials certified under the REDcert² scheme
- applies Biomass Balance and ChemCycling® principles to reduce the carbon footprint of plastics
The goal is to support the transition to a circular economy and help customers achieve their own environmental targets.
