Granitol opens branch in Slovakia, builds on success in Romania
New Granitol Branch in Bratislava
“We want to be closer to our customers and respond better to their needs. We believe that by having a local presence, we can strengthen relationships with our partners and offer them tailor-made packaging solutions,” says Igor Adamec, Business Development Director at Granitol.
Granitol has been operating in the Slovak and Hungarian markets for several years, but until now mainly through distributors. By establishing the new branch, the company is focusing on direct contact with end customers. Tivadar Németh is taking the helm of the new subsidiary and will lead the expansion in these markets thanks to his knowledge of the local environment and the Slovak and Hungarian languages.
The aim is not only to expand the customer base, but also to strengthen the Granitol brand throughout the region. The new branch is also intended to contribute to a better understanding of local customers’ needs and greater flexibility in business relationships.
The expansion into Slovakia was inspired by the success in Romania, where Granitol serves an established customer base through its branch in Timișoara and holds a strong position in the market.
Granitol currently exports more than half of its production abroad. The company’s products reach 25 countries worldwide, as far afield as Tajikistan. Expansion into additional markets is therefore a logical step in the company’s long-term strategy. In addition to Slovakia and Hungary, Granitol also plans to focus intensively on the Polish market in the near future.
