New Elastollan® FC types for food contact applications available
The new Elastollan portfolio, which is made in the accordance with the quality assurance system GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), includes numerous ether and ester variants. These may be used in a wide range of injection molding and extrusion applications (e.g. conveyor belts, sheets and hoses).
Plastics which may come into contact with food must meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
The new Elastollan FC grades from BASF correspond both to the guidelines of the EU regulations and the American FDA Standards (Food and Drug Aministration). They meet the high security requirements of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice Guidance for, 2023/2006 / EC) - a regulation on quality assurance of the production processes and environments for the production of food-contact materials.
In the Elastollan nomenclature, the new types are identified by the initials "FC".
They will be available in January 2016.
