Lifocolor Farben GmbH & Co. KG takes over MicroColor Masterbatch GmbH
Lifocolor Farben GmbH & Co. KG based in Lichtenfels/Germany (www.lifocolor.com) has
acquired MicroColor Masterbatch GmbH (www.microcolor.de) with headquarters in
Straufhain/Germany.
MicroColor will become part of Lifocolor Farben as of 1 June 2012. The
production and development capacities of MicroColor expand and supplement the scope of
services and products of Lifocolor Farben very well.
In the future, 150 employees in both locations will develop solutions for their customers and lay
the foundation for continued growth.
With the acquisition of the modern MicroColor plant, Lifocolor Farben further expands its position
in Germany, the largest plastics market in Europe. With it, the group now has five locations in
Europe. In addition to the two German plants, there are production facilities in Brno/Czech
Republic, in Bellignat/France and in Bydgoszcz/Poland.
Lifocolor manufactures and sells masterbatches and compounds for the plastics processing
industry at all sites. The product range includes colour-, additive- and functional-masterbatches
for a wide variety of applications. The focus is on the segments packaging, toys, technical
plastics, and automotive.
Products from renewable resources, such as WPC, biodegradable polymers and other natural
fiber composites, are developed, produced and marketed in addition to proven market solutions.
