Keep mess under control with Portaflex colored plastic curtains

Choose Coloured Plastic Strip Curtains

Strip curtains consist of easy-to-pass-through coloured strips in ten shades. They allow people, materials handling equipment and materials to pass through without difficulty. You can access the “hidden zone” at any time and at any point along the partition without restrictions. There is no need to build solid partitions. If necessary, you can reinstall the curtain in another area in a matter of tens of minutes (depending on its specific size). You do not tidy up – you simply leave the mess as it is, while flexibly concealing it.

A Wide Range of Other Applications

The main advantage of strip curtains is energy savings and protection of the indoor environment from adverse external conditions (cold or, conversely, heat, and the ingress of dust, rain and snow). In this case, they are insulating curtains, and it is advisable to choose one of the strip overlap options so that the curtain is sufficiently robust and heavy to serve its purpose. Colours also allow zones to be clearly defined – navigation is immediate and easy to understand, even for new employees or external visitors.

Plastic curtains can also be supplied in a lighter and less expensive version, serving only as visual screens. Coloured strips thus help improve operational safety. Bright shades draw attention to moving forklift trucks and equipment or to hazardous work areas. Unlike solid doors or walls, there is no risk of colliding with a solid obstacle, and the risk of damage to equipment or injury to people is significantly reduced.

Sometimes customers use coloured plastics to coordinate the interior with their corporate identity. The facility looks thoughtfully designed rather than random. Employees and visitors are constantly in visual contact with the company's colours. Even a production hall or service workshop can look refined.

Last but not least, the colour determines the type of application for the plastic. Red, bronze and black-green curtains or sheets are used in welding booths. Anti-insect curtains that keep nuisance insects out are manufactured in orange.

Coloured strip curtains are also finding applications outside industry. They are used in service workshops, sports facilities and garden centres. In non-industrial settings, they can also serve an aesthetic function by coordinating with the interior.

Combination with Transparent Viewing Panels

A very practical solution is to combine coloured strips with transparent sections, the so-called SafeView feature. These maintain visual contact between separated areas without losing the benefits of colour coding. The viewing panels allow oncoming equipment or people to be spotted in good time, further improving safety and the smooth flow of operations.

Benefits for the Customer

Strip curtains offer customers a rapid return on investment. They are affordable, easy to install and maintain, and readily adapted to specific operations by changing the colour, strip thickness or combinations of strips. Customers gain better control over their environment, savings on energy costs, greater workplace safety and a more clearly organised facility.
