During the K 2025 trade fair, taking place from 8 to 15 October in Düsseldorf, visitors will have the opportunity on selected days to join themed guided tours. These tours combine expert insights with practical orientation – the perfect chance for anyone who wants to quickly grasp the latest trends in their field directly at the exhibitors’ booths.

Innovative Materials and the Design of the Future

The accompanying Materials & Design tour with renowned designer and materials expert Chris Lefteri is intended primarily for creatives, product developers and designers. It will take visitors to exhibitors setting the pace in innovative materials, sustainable solutions and new technologies in industrial and materials design. Chris Lefteri will explain which design trends he considers crucial for the future – and show how functionality, sensory perception and emotional values can be combined in modern plastics solutions.

Digital Solutions, Intelligent Processes and the Recycling of the Future

Efficiency, resource conservation and sustainability – digitalisation is fundamentally changing the plastics industry. Various themed tours focus on intelligent production processes, the use of artificial intelligence and the latest recycling technologies. Participants will see first-hand how companies use digital tools to achieve greater transparency, reliability and long-term sustainability. The programme also includes a visit to the Power of Plastics forum organised by the VDMA association and to the stands of exhibitors showcasing best-practice examples in the circular economy, intelligent design and data-driven processes.

A Tour for Young Talents: The Future Through Young People's Eyes

The Young Talents Tour is designed for vocational school pupils, apprentices and students – and is led by young people from the industry themselves. They will share their experiences of studying and working, outline career paths and show how diverse and promising the plastics and rubber industry is. The programme includes a visit to the Young Talents Lounge, selected exhibitors' stands and interactive activities. An inspiring tour – and not just for young people.
