Prestigious „Plastics Oscar“ awarded by the automotive industry: GRAFE receives several awards
A high-profile panel of jury experts selected their favorites from a large number of applicants based on stringent criteria.
The SPE Automotive Division Award has grown in importance over the past 16 years. Currently, it is considered the leading „Plastics Award“ in the automobile industry. The 16th annual automotive industry’s Oscar, was given to the GRAFE Group by the SPE (Society of Plastic Engineers). The two awards included 1st place in the category „Image/Product Ad“ and the „Grand Innovation Award“ in the category „Image/Product Brochure“.

This year’s trend color project „Urban Inspiration“, for which the GRAFE Group commissioned the graffiti artist Max Kosta and the Erfurt agency Blueline Productions, received the evening’s „Grand Innovation Award“ in the category „Image/Product Brochure“. This project showcased various locations in Thuringia with the works of Max Kosta. The graffiti art, which was designed especially for the 2016 trend colors, utilized an array of various urban art techniques and was then compiled in a calendar. The exclusive printing and premium quality finish has contributed to the unique appeal of this calendar.
In the category "Image/Product Ad", the GRAFE Group achieved first place for its ad series entitled „Two Worlds.“ The cutting edge advertising campaign „Two Worlds“, which was created by the Weimar agency Rogge GmbH, uses humor to illustrate the vast horizon of possibilities in the world of plastics. The campaign’s slogan „Combining the Best“ uses the technique of photo montage from the animal world to combine prominent characteristics of different animals to create a totally new „species“. The images were accompanied by short and emotional texts focusing on identity and motivation in the company.
