One of the most urgent problems of the whole world is the formation and accumulation of waste. The share of polymers in the composition of solid household waste is constantly increasing and currently stands at 15%. Most people do not think about the danger that the garbage problem poses for humanity. First of all, the gases generated in landfills create the so-called "greenhouse" effect.

Plastic is a particular danger to the environment. The scale of its consumption is simply huge and is constantly growing, displacing other materials: paper, glass, metal. Every day, thousands of tons are found in landfills, the decomposition time is tens and hundreds of years, and the area for landfills is limited. The worst thing is that they can get into the water, which will lead to the destruction of marine animals and birds, destroying entire ecosystems.

In the near future, the formation of polymer waste will become difficult to control. To avoid such consequences, it is necessary to direct all efforts to increase the efficiency of polymer recovery.

Recycled plastic can be used in different areas and in different ways, mixing a certain amount into primary polymers or completely replacing them. It all depends on the quality of the recovered polymer. But it should be borne in mind that the recycled polymer is inferior to the primary one in its physical and mechanical properties, and the more processing cycles, the lower the indicators.
